How to quickly and easily clean stainless steel pans from soot

Any surface of the dishes can be cleaned - you just need to find out the "secret ways" for each specific material. Burnt dishes, black from soot - an unpleasant sight, but you can see it quite often. It takes 15 minutes to get distracted by a social network or an interesting book - and the pan is already ruined. Do not rush to throw it away, because even after a sad incident, it can serve you for years. It can be cleaned at home. Just do not forget to clean the dishes regularly, and it will be better to wash, food will not stick to it. Now we will tell you how to clean dishes made of stainless steel.

Saucepan with carbon

We clean inside

The stainless steel pan, despite the "iron" name, has a rather vulnerable surface. Aggressive cleaners can cause stains on stainless steel, and metal washcloths will render your dishes unpresentable. Before washing in a dishwasher, it is better to soak such burnt dishes. In this case, products containing ammonia or chlorine should be avoided.

  • To clean a stainless steel pan, a solution of a detergent or ordinary laundry soap will help. To do this, you just need to immerse the contaminated dishes in a container with a larger volume, and boil it there for 10 minutes. After this, carbon stains are easy to clean. Just take a little soda or detergent and an ordinary soft sponge, sprinkle a place with soot and gently, in a circular motion, clean the pollution.
  • You can clean burnt stainless steel dishes with ordinary activated carbon. White or black - anyway. How to do it? Several packs of activated carbon tablets are ground to a powder state. A good culinary mortar and pestle are good for this. Then water is added to this powder. The resulting mixture should, by consistency, resemble not very thick sour cream. After which the product is applied to contaminated surfaces and left. Processing time should not exceed 20 minutes. After the mixture is washed off, the carbon deposits are carefully cleaned with detergent and warm water. Activated carbon is absolutely safe for the human body, so they can clean both the outer surface of the stainless steel pan and the inside.
  • It is also possible to clean soda on stainless steel with soda, and this process is identical to the process using detergent or soap. That is, water is poured into a large container and soda is poured at the rate of 2-3 tablespoons per liter of water. Contaminated dishes are completely immersed there. Water with soda is heated to a boiling point and then boiled for 10 minutes, after which it becomes easy to clean the stainless steel.

Tip

If the dishes need to be cleaned only inside, it is better to simply pour detergent or soda into it and boil it there.

We clean outside

The outside surface can be cleaned in another interesting way. To do this, take equal parts of water and vinegar essence (70-80%). Then pour the resulting solution into a pan, the diameter of which is not less than the diameter of the dishes spoiled by soot. Place the pot with the solution on the stove and heat to a boil. And place the burnt utensils above it. That is, steaming the upper burnt surface. Processing time - 10 minutes. After that, a mixture prepared from soda with salt is applied to a sponge or napkin moistened with vinegar. And then rub the burnt places with this napkin. It is better to wear gloves. Salt, soda, and vinegar can harm your skin.
If you are going to clean the pan from the stainless steel with the finished products purchased, you must first read the instructions for use of these tools and carefully follow it. Otherwise, beautiful stainless steel cookware may lose its attractive appearance.

Tip

When you decide to clean the stainless steel, the movements of the sponge or napkin with any method should be smooth and circular. Otherwise, spots may remain on the surface.

Little tricks

  • You can give the surface an exhibition shine by rubbing it with slices of freshly peeled raw potatoes. No less shine can be obtained if you clean stainless steel with vinegar.
  • You can eliminate water stains by soaking the dishes in vinegar for about 15 minutes. Only after that do not forget to wash it well.
  • Persistent stains can be effectively cleaned with a mixture of non-abrasive toothpaste with ammonia. To do this, the components are mixed until a solution is obtained, which moistens the cleaning cloth, and then the surface of the pan or pan is rubbed directly. Then everything is washed off with cold water.

It is worth noting that stainless steel alloy contains chrome. In air, during the oxidation by oxygen, an invisible protective film appears on the dishes, which protects the surface from damage. However, if this surface is not cleaned, a protective film may not form. Then the dishes are easily damaged.

Stainless steel cookware is environmentally friendly, durable enough and will be a good purchase for its owners for a long time, if you take care of it correctly.

I cleaned it with soda, there were micro scratches, the second time I cleaned ultrasonics from the soot with a sink and a washer from titanium, I did it well, but I had to rinse it with my hands then (maybe a 5 minute cycle was not enough)
