How to wash a painted floor

In a living room, it is customary to paint a wooden floor with specially designed paint or enamel. Such a coating reliably protects the wood from the formation of greasy and dirty stains. Dust does not penetrate the protective film, but remains on the surface, which greatly simplifies the work of cleaning the floor.

Before wet cleaning, the floors should be freed, as far as possible, from objects standing on them. Then you should thoroughly vacuum or sweep the boardwalk with a broom. Otherwise, all the dust will move to the joints between the floorboards, and it will be very difficult to wash it.

How to clean an unpainted floor

Unpainted wooden floors are most often found in the bathhouse, in the country, in the veranda and in the summer kitchen. Such a coating requires careful cleaning, otherwise the wood will darken, become covered with numerous spots of fat, and the room will look messy.

Starting to clean the unpainted flooring, it is necessary to prepare:

• a brush with a short stiff bristle;
• piece of cotton cloth;
• bucket with water;
• laundry soap or soda.

To obtain a cleaning agent, baking soda in an amount of 3 tbsp. l dissolved in 1 liter of water. If you decide to use household soap, then one bar is crushed on a coarse grater and diluted in 5 l of warm water.

The prepared composition is moistened with floorboards one after another, while rubbing with a brush. Do not leave puddles on wooden floors for long.
