Recommendations for lubricating doors in an apartment

First of all, you need to determine the quality lubricant for the loops. At home, these can be the following products:

Machine oil. The product must be liquid, without traces of condensation, mold and rancid odor.
Litol or Solidol. Fairly thick products that are applied with fingers or a cotton swab.
Graphite from a simple (necessarily soft) pencil. In this case, to lubricate the door, crushed graphite will need to be poured into the hinges. The resulting lubricant perfectly fights the effects of friction and gives the desired long-lasting effect.

Tip: It is strictly not recommended to lubricate creaking loops with fats of vegetable or animal origin (butter and vegetable oil), petroleum jelly. These funds really give an instant effect, but it does not last long, while causing gradual destruction of the metal.

It is not enough to choose a suitable tool, to lubricate the door hinges, you need to perform the following manipulations:

We open the door, if the space under it allows us, we support it from below with some kind of wedge (at least with an ax).
In the formed cracks between the door hinges, drip oil from an oilcan, pour graphite, or apply Solidol. When working with liquid substances, you can use a regular syringe.
After a couple of minutes, remove the blade from the wedge, move the blade several times to distribute the lubricant inside the loops.
The excess product that has come out is carefully removed with a soft cloth.

The best result is the use of special graphite grease. It can also be used for preventive purposes during the period of cosmetic repairs, then such a problem as a creaky door will never arise at all.

Ideally, vehicle owners should not urgently decide how to lubricate the doors of a car that annoy with their creak. It must be understood that weather conditions and active operation negatively affect the condition of the mounting systems.

If a few years ago they tried to solve this problem with the help of kerosene, vinegar and even iodine, today you can choose the right product from a whole range of specialized drugs. And they need to be used not only when a problem occurs, but as a regular prevention of its development.

When choosing a suitable composition, we pay attention to the convenience of its application (the presence of a thin nose is mandatory), the ability to form a protective film, anti-corrosion properties, resistance to moisture and low temperatures. Silicone greases are especially in demand today, with the help of which not only fasteners, but also locks are processed in a car.

The procedure itself is very simple - the problem area is cleaned of dirt, degreased with gasoline, and then the selected product is applied to it. Manipulation is recommended in late spring and early fall, so that the effect lasts for the most problematic months.
