Is Whiteness suitable for disinfection and in what proportions should it be bred?

In many cases, “White” for disinfection is the best option. This drug contains 8% active chlorine, therefore it is a powerful antiseptic and successfully fights with most microorganisms. At the heart of "White" is sodium hypochlorite. If it is used without exceeding the recommended proportion, then it cannot harm a person.

It can be used for linen and dishes, floors and enameled baths. "White" is used to clean aquariums, water filters and wells. It is also indispensable in the farm - for the disinfection of animal cells and their litter.

Rules for the use of "White" in the apartment

Many housewives use this product to whiten tissues and know the dosage. However, a different concentration of solution is used for disinfection: 60-100 ml of "White" per 1 liter of water. They can wash dishes after an infectious patient, floors, washbasins and the toilet.

To disinfect sewage, another method is used. At night, pour 1 liter of undiluted “White” into the toilet bowl or the neck of the washbasin and close it with a cork or a lid. Wash off with plenty of water in the morning. This method allows you to get rid of microbes, and from an unpleasant odor.

Tip

When working with Whiteness, do not forget about safety measures - wear gloves. For prolonged contact or when using a concentrated solution, a respirator and safety glasses are needed.

If there are animals in the house

Sodium hypochlorite is an inexpensive, effective and easy-to-use product for cleaning and disinfecting pet trays.

• On a liter of water you need to add 100 ml of "White".
• Rinse the tray with the resulting solution.
• Then rinse it thoroughly.

Such processing is enough to produce once a week. The rest of the time, the “pot” is cleaned with an ordinary detergent. If there are a lot of animals in the apartment and they leave marks, then “Whiteness” can fulfill the functions of both disinfection and deodorization. In this case, a weak solution (not more than 50 ml of “White” per liter of water) needs to be treated on the floor and walls (where animals mark them). This cleaning should be done as often as possible.

Water filter cleaning

Instructions for use

• After removing the cartridges and reverse osmosis membrane, you need to twist the second and third flask along the water.
• The pipe from the tap of purified water is connected to a tee (instead of a charcoal filter).
• The first flask is filled with 10 ml of “White” and water is added, after which the flask is twisted.
• After 15-20 minutes, you need to open the water supply tap and the purified water tap.
• When the smell of chlorine is clearly audible from the tap of purified water, the taps must be closed and wait a few hours.
• After this, the taps open again, and the water flows until the chlorine is completely washed out.

After this treatment, the filter is completely disinfected, you can insert the membrane and a new carbon filter.

"White" for cleaning a well

Chlorination in the well must be carried out in the correct proportions and strictly following the instructions for use.

• Pump out water or scoop out (at shallow depth).
• Clean the walls with a stiff brush.
• Prepare a solution: 600 ml of "White" on 10 liters of water.
• Treat the walls of the well and the superstructure with the cover. This is best done with a spray gun.
• After filling the well with water, the same solution is poured into it at the rate of 1 liter per 1 ring.
• Stir the water, lowering and raising the bucket.
• Close the well head with polyethylene to prevent the evaporation of chlorine, and leave for 6-10 hours.
• Pump out water until the smell of chlorine disappears.

Attention!

During disinfection, water from the well cannot be used for drinking and cooking. After chlorination, it is recommended to boil it for 5-7 days.

Aquarium disinfection

Sodium hypochlorite is often used to clean the aquarium of growths and microorganisms accumulated there. Moreover, the walls (glass) and decor are cleaned with a solution of various concentrations.

Instructions for disinfecting aquarium decor

• 8-10 liters of warm water are poured into the container.
• Add there 1 liter of "White."
• Aquarium decor is immersed in the solution and left for several hours.
• After that, all elements are thoroughly cleaned and washed.

Tip

Decor elements with a porous surface need to be washed very carefully, shaking out the remaining water from the pores. If this is not done, sodium hypochlorite will enter the aquarium and may adversely affect its inhabitants.

• "Whiteness" is sprayed over the entire surface of the cells, especially carefully processed in the corners and on the floor.
• After 2-24 hours, the treated surface is washed with a strong stream of water. If there is a steam generator, it is better to use it.
• After the rabbit enclosures have completely dried, young animals can be populated.

For the treatment of bird cells (aviaries), another solution is used - 200 ml of "White" on 5 liters of water. Five minutes after surface treatment, they are washed with clean water. Processing is carried out in the absence of poultry.

Duration and storage conditions of "Whiteness"

Store undiluted "White" can be up to a year. Specific dates are indicated by the manufacturer. It must be kept in tightly closed containers and in a dark place. Do not allow freezing of the product. At minus temperatures, the solution loses its properties and does not recover when heated. Like other household chemicals, "Whiteness" should be out of the reach of children.
