How to replace nail polish remover?

Often, girls, going to visit, begin to paint their nails at the very last minute. In such a situation, there are often embarrassments that need to be quickly corrected. And if at home, as luck would have it, there was no nail polish remover, do not be discouraged - it can be replaced with many improvised means!

Toothpaste Remover

Toothpaste

It turns out that ordinary toothpaste is an ideal tool for removing not yet fully frozen varnish from the surface of nails. Prepare about a tablespoon of the product, a paper towel or a toothbrush and start the scrubbing procedure.

The best option would be a white paste, which includes soda. It has excellent cleansing ability and is slightly abrasive.

Pure alcohol

Alcohol-containing products

Replace nail polish remover with any alcohol. Best of all is that it has the highest alcohol content. It can be:

  • pharmacy medical alcohol;
  • hand disinfection gel;
  • perfume;
  • some types of hairspray.

Hairspray, of course, will help clean your nails, but this is not the most ideal option. To achieve a quality result, you will spend a lot of time and the tool itself. In addition, the hands will become sticky, after such a procedure it is difficult to wash them.

As for alcoholic beverages, they can also be used, but they do not work so quickly and perfectly. To achieve a result, you will need to soak your nails in a bath of alcohol for fifteen minutes. For these purposes, gin, vodka or, for example, whiskey are suitable.

Foil on the fingers

Hydrogen Peroxide and Wine Vinegar

Pharmaceutical peroxide, wine vinegar and lemon will help replace nail polish remover.

The first recipe:

  • hydrogen peroxide - 2 tbsp. l .;
  • water - 1 tbsp. l

The second recipe:

  • wine vinegar - 1 tbsp. l .;
  • lemon juice - 1 tbsp. l

You can try to cook both one and the other composition, they work equally well. Mix the ingredients in a small cup, moisten the pieces of cotton wool in the solution and put on the nails, then wrap each finger in foil. After surviving for fifteen minutes, the foil can be removed, while wiping the nail plates with the same cotton.

Removing nail polish

Extra coat of varnish

An additional layer of varnish is a sufficiently effective means to soften an existing varnish coating, which is what we need. For these purposes, a colorless product, for example, Smart Enamel or any other varnish that dries slowly, is best suited. It is the low drying rate that acts as the most important criterion and affects the efficiency of the whole process.

Coating nails with a new layer is recommended one at a time. You should not wait until the varnish dries, immediately after application, start to wipe it. Wet alcohol wipes will help a lot here. Some even use them as an independent tool that allows you to replace the nail polish remover. However, in a tandem with a colorless coating, they work much better, in addition, alcohol-based wet wipes are the most gentle and safe option.

Removing gel polish from nails

How to replace gel polish remover?

Gel polish has recently been quite popular, and, accordingly, the issue of its removal is relevant. It is not always possible to seek professional help, so some fashionistas have become accustomed to take it off on their own at home. Of course, the most effective tool here will be a special gel polish remover, but it can also be replaced with isopropyl (medical) alcohol. To remove the gel polish coating, you need foil and cotton pads.Instead of pieces of foil, you can use cling film, which is available in almost every kitchen.

We use alcohol similarly to acetone liquid or other special means to remove gel polish:

  1. moisturize cotton pads;
  2. apply to each nail;
  3. gently fix using, for example, cling film;
  4. we withstand about twenty minutes and remove the disks;
  5. moisturize the hands and nail plates with cream or oil.

Some procedures, in order to achieve a good result, should be repeated up to two times. Yes, acetone is hard to compete with, but just a little bit of your patience and everything will work out!
