Dyeing leather jacket

How to use skin paint?

Whatever tool you choose, for starters, we recommend checking it on an invisible area of the skin. Especially capricious materials are suede and vinyl. Then you can start staining.

Follow these guidelines:

  1. Clean the item before painting from dirt, dust, grease stains.
  2. Spread bends and creases. If you are going to dye your clothes, hang them on a mannequin and push towels into the sleeves.
  3. When using solvent-based paints, use rubber gloves and a respirator mask.
  4. Avoid open flames. Work in a well-ventilated area.
  5. Seal the locks and accessories on clothing (shoes, accessories) with tape or sticky paper.
  6. Before applying the paint, degrease the surface of the skin with a special store product, alcohol, acetone or regular vodka.
  7. Apply paint to the most worn areas first.
  8. If you are going to apply a new layer, wait until the previous one dries (10-15 minutes for aerosols, 20-30 minutes for liquid paints and creams).
  9. At the end, wipe the skin with a fixing agent or a solution of vinegar (1 cup per liter of water).

Using skin paint is easy. It is important not to be lazy and read the instructions, because each agent (depending on the form, base, active components) is applied to the surface in different ways. You can start using the product no earlier than 24 hours.
