1. Terry towels become soiled very quickly, and the dirt penetrates between the loops of the fabric and may not be visible. Towels should be washed at least once a week, if necessary even more often.
2. Used towels must either be washed immediately or dried before being sent to the laundry basket. Otherwise, an unpleasant odor will begin to emit from them, which is difficult to remove.
3. It is forbidden to put products in one drum with things covered with buttons, fasteners or zippers. From this neighborhood, puffs quickly appear on the surface of the towels.

• Traditional powders will have to be abandoned, their particles clog between the fibers and are not washed out to the end, which leads to tissue densification. Using liquid means, the product can be washed no worse, but the product will certainly not remain in the texture of the material. If for some reason you have to use powder, then the laundry will have to be passed through an additional rinse cycle.
• The use of bleaches is also prohibited, they give the fibers an unpleasant stiffness. If severe contaminants are formed, it is better to use ammonia or laundry soap. On clean areas they do not need to be applied.
• But industrial or homemade fabric softeners will not be superfluous. To restore the softness of the washed product, the use of an air conditioner will help again. For the expected results to be maximum, the washing will have to be carried out in soft water. For this, special tablets or capsules are used.

Sometimes very thick towels cannot be washed off the first time. In this case, the laundry is soaked in warm water with a double portion of the washing composition at night, and in the morning it is re-processed.

Optimum washing modes

Setting the washing machine mode, you will have to take into account many factors that can affect the final result:

• The economy mode is categorically not suitable here. The increased hygroscopicity of the terry requires a long treatment, especially during rinsing. This is the only way products will remain soft.
• The temperature regime is usually limited to 40-60ºC, unless otherwise indicated on the towel label.
• It is not recommended to overload the drum with water, filling in two-thirds will be enough. Then the fabric absorbs as much fluid as needed. It will be able to qualitatively clean and prevent deformation.
• Intensive spin negatively affects the appearance and condition of the fibers, so it is recommended to refuse this option or use its minimum indicators.

After carrying out all stages of washing, you need to ensure the quality of the mahre. First, shake the canvas several times so that all the loops straighten and take up the desired position. You can hang towels in the room, but they will be as soft as possible only when drying in the fresh air.

It is impossible to dry products, this is another reason for increasing the stiffness of the fibers. If there is such an opportunity, then for drying terry towels it is better to use a drying machine. In this case, the products will remain soft and fluffy even without the use of air conditioning.
