Skirt preparation

All this will smooth the creases and make subsequent ironing very difficult, especially if the fabric is made of polyester.
Before starting to wash, be sure to sew all the folds with wide stitches. To do this, it is better to use a white thread and not tighten it, otherwise the fabric is deformed.

Handwash

- draw warm water into the basin and dissolve a little liquid detergent in it for delicate fabrics;
- put the skirt in this solution and wait a few minutes;
- after that, start washing, avoiding excessive friction, and in no case twist the thing;

- at the last rinse add a little conditioner to the water.
The newly washed pleated skirt does not need to be wrung out. Gently hang it on the balcony on a special hanger so that water can drain into the basin.
Machine wash
This method can only be resorted to if the machine has a delicate wash program at 30 degrees without the spin function, otherwise the process will have to be interrupted manually and the water drain mode set immediately.
The skirt needs to be prepared. There are two methods to do this:
- Use in kapron stocking. Roll the skirt into the tube along the length, while making sure that the folds do not deform. Put it in a nylon stocking and send it to the machine. After washing, hang the item to dry without removing it from the stocking - this will help to save creases.
- Use a pouch for delicate washing. Carefully fold the item into a tube and put it in a bag. When the machine stops, pull out the skirt and send to dry.
For machine wash, as well as for hand, it is necessary to use liquid washing powder and conditioner. They are easily washed from the fabric, clothes will remain soft.
