Before washing cotton, especially if this is a new thing, you need to familiarize yourself with the wishes of the producers in the process. Despite the fact that such temperature-resistant natural products as flax and cotton allow the use of the highest rates, there are a number of nuances.

Cotton items are allowed to be washed not only by hand, but also in the washing machine, although with some limitations and recommendations. Neglecting the rules can lead to shrinkage of the products, molting of colored fabrics and yellowing of light after processing.

At what temperature and how to wash cotton?

Regardless of the type of exposure, you first need to determine the optimal temperature. In order not to sit down a new piece of clothing and everyday life from 100% cotton for the first time, it is recommended to wash it in cold water or a little warm. Only with subsequent processing the following rules take effect:

• For more delicate things, you can try glycerin diluted with water. After its application, the pollution will go away, and the texture of the fabric will only improve.
• When dealing with fresh spots, it is recommended to limit yourself to soaking things in cool water with the addition of a gel product based on plant enzymes.
• In an extreme case, it is allowed to apply to stain removers, but only to those that do not include bleaching components.

Under these conditions of care, cotton will last a very long time, retaining its original appearance and shape for the entire duration of use.

Features of drying products after washing

In order not to nullify all your efforts applied during the washing process, it is necessary to squeeze and dry the cotton thing correctly. There may be several processing options:

• You can start ironing immediately after removing the item from the drum of the washing machine, but then you will have to spin at about 1400 rpm. Do not leave the product in the machine chamber for a long time, the creases formed will greatly complicate ironing.
• If you do not want to squeeze the item so hard or after carrying out a hand wash, you need to hang the item, carefully stretching all the folds. The best option for clothes will be the use of a coat hanger. Drying is carried out in the fresh air, but not in direct sunlight. The main thing is not to dry the fabric, it will become dense and unpleasant to the touch. It is better to remove the products in a slightly wet form and treat them with a hot iron.

Professional help with cotton is not needed. Despite the existing risk of shrinkage of objects, negative consequences are possible only if all existing rules for their cleaning are violated.
